Latin Grammy® Nominee Dr. Isabel Dobarro is considered one of the most internationally renowned Spanish pianists. Professor at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska, President of the European Music Center Spain and invited as visiting Professor at the London Performing Academy of Music in London (UK), Isabel has developed her career in the United States, Spain, Germany, Russia, Belgium, France, Argentina, Italy and Portugal.
As a soloist Dobarro has performed and lectured at some of the most renowned venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Teatro Colón, United Nations General Assembly, the European Parliament, the National Auditorium in Madrid and the Palau de la Música Catalana, among many others.
She has received several awards for her promotion of women composers and contemporary music, including a nomination for the Future Women in Classical Music Award in London and the New York Women Composers Seed Money Grant.
Her performances have been reviewed by media all over the world including CNN, Fox News, Fanfare, American Record Guide, Vogue, Vanity Fair, WQXR, SWR, Rai 3, Swiss Radio, and Radio Televisión Española,
She holds a PhD from New York University. At New York University she began teaching at the age of 19 as Adjunct Instructor. Previous studies include a Professional Studies Degree at the Manhattan School of Music, Master's Degree at New York University, and Bachelor’s Degree at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid. In addition to having completed her law degree at UNED, Isabel has studied International Relations at Harvard University, where she also received a Certificate in Business at Harvard Business School HBX. She has also completed a leadership course at the University of Cambridge and a dual LL.M. degree at IE Law School.
